As Senior Copywriter on RealTruck’s creative team, I craft marketing and e-commerce emails that drive engagement, lead high-profile collaborations—most recently with NASCAR and the University of Michigan—and ensure consistent brand voice across product pages, catalogs, and national dealer communications.
Some details:
I manage 12–15 RealTruck emails each month, plus another 10–12 for our sub-brand, Husky Liners—all while handling one-offs and special projects.
As part of the copywriting team, I’m helping refresh the entire website for brand consistency while incorporating new products into the online catalog.
MRM Detroit
I previously worked at MRM (formerly MRM//McCann) as the lead writer for Buick.com and GMC.com. I created new content and updated all copy for every single page across the two sites.
Some other accounts at MRM included:
Lead writer for the My GM Rewards program. It’s a first-of-its kind automotive program that seeks to provide GM owners with a sense of appreciation for spending money on their goods and services. I managed a team of 6 creatives and handled copy for emails, site pages, direct mail, dealer material, and every other consumer-facing content you can think of.
Buick and GMC CLM, where I created all the custom email content for Buick and GMC owners. We shipped dozens of emails per year and attempted to never repeat content.
Lead writer for the Lease-End account where I created a brand-new cadence of direct mail and email communications starting 12 months out from the end of lease. It detailed the steps owners needed to take, as well as the vehicles we thought they’d be interested in. It spanned all four of GM’s brands (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac).
GM’s Recall team. Created communications encouraging owners to get their vehicles fixed when they had a recall. Seems straightforward, but it takes a lot of convincing to get people into their dealerships.
Digitas Detroit
I previously worked at DigitasLBi, where I wrote copy for the Buick and GMC site pages, emails, retail offers, digital videos, and more. While I was there we refreshed and re-wrote both brand sites from top to bottom.
Note: if this looks familiar, you’re not wrong. Shortly after I left Digitas, the Buick and GMC work was awarded to MRM. After I worked on the Recall account for a year, I began working on B/G again.
